SNOW!

Texans normally get excited about snow.  It's something we rarely see.  Maybe once a year.  Maybe.

However, today Texans got REALLY excited about snow.  Why?  Because the ice has kept many of us inside for four days.  All DFW area schools have been closed for four days.  And there has been nothing pretty or fun about it.  Until...the midnight snowfall started, and continued throughout the morning.  We got about 6 inches of snow piled on top of our inch or two of ice.  But all of a sudden it was beautiful and peaceful.  Oh, and fun.

Due to my week of sheer boredom, I took a LOT of pictures of the snow today.  I don't know why.  It's not like I'm going to forget this week any time soon!  But it was beautiful.

To end the snow day I begged mom to go play outside with me.  We tried to build a snowman but we were not successful because the snow was so soft.  So instead we made snow angels and slid down the driveway on a cookie sheet.  Desperate times call for desperate measures, but I'm glad mom was up for the adventure!

When dad goes away, the girls will play...

Isn't she cute?

Yeah, I look ten.  Can you tell I haven't been out of the house in 4 days?

And hopefully tomorrow will end the cabin fever!

Ellen & Andrew

Ellen and Andrew got hitched on January 28, 2011!  I couldn't have pictured a more perfect wedding for a more precious friend.  I am so blessed to have been a part of their special day and I can't wait to walk along side them as they start their life together.

Cabin Fever

Tomorrow will be day four of no school due to the crazy ice storm we got early Tuesday morning.  Tomorrow will be day four of being stuck in the house due to treacherous icy roads.
Tomorrow will be day four of cabin fever, a.k.a. delirium.

Don't think my car is getting out on that driveway any time soon...
